It’s alright for the desperate people I think. At least they had the chance of releasing their emotions on this paper sheet even if they could not send it or express their feelings for the one they love…

I would TOTALLY use that method, but I’m just straightforward person that way! I’d probably send a personal e-mail as well, cause even though that is completely hilarious, it would leave a bad impression!

I would probably use a more subtle approach, but the main purpose of this form is communication. Saying something, even in such a form, is better than nothing. The reaction of the receiver would be quite interesting and telling of his/her personality.
