I really liked all the songs One track that featured piano and dolphins talking was quite surprizing though – I can’t recall it from the anime. Shadow of Michael was a touching piece… Still no full Sakamoto Aimo

Like suspected, the name of track 19 was just too fricken long so it got cut off after the “pi” in “pilot” on the JVC site. Other songs that are included in the medley are What bout my star, seikan hikou, diamond crevasse, do you remember love as well as another version of Aimo sung by Sakamoto. Still hoping we’ll get her other version from ep 14 somewhere too.

And triangular, don’t be late and diamond crevasse on the first OST all also had singles first. As did Seikan Hikou that’s coming on the second. So there being a single first doesn’t provide much of an obstacle, especially for a song that made it onto the oricon charts for a while.

Yes, HighSchoolLife in interesting, I wonder how the long version would look like. It sounds like some other Yoko Kanno’s instrumental tracks from Cowboy Bebop.

I couldn’t recall Transformation, so I had to skim through episode 14. This music is indeed epic

I absolutely agree that we need a full version of Aimo by Maaya Sakamoto (Ranka’s mother). Her performance of this song is much better than Megumi Nakajima’s, perhaps, in part due to the fact that she is nine years older and has a more nurturing voice that is appropriate for this song.

Track 4 HighSchoolLife and track 5 Transformation are the BGM tracks I’m anticipating the most. The first one ought to be familiar to everyone as the “next episode preview music”. Transformation, first used in episode in episode 14, starts out kinda dark and menacing then gets epic. Another track I’d like is the highstring piece we get everytime there’s drama. No idea if it’s on here or not.

Pretty happy with the vocal tracks, but I can count at least 3 songs that have been used as ED themes that aren’t on here. And we need to have a full version of Sakamoto singing Aimo.
