Kemono no Souja Erin: Background Art Part 1
November 27, 2009
Akira Suzuki (Art Director: Area 88, Lupin III: Stolen Lupin, S-CRY-ed; Director: Happy Lesson, Kodocha, Maze, Ranma ½: Nihao My Concubine) created a unique world with vast landscapes and symbiotic architecture. Coarse textures along with natural lines and variation in lighting create a pleasant hearty feel. This post covers episodes 1-25.

great stuff kitsune, thank you
.sure beats anything my imagination can come up with.
really liked how nature scenes are depicted, like in screenshots_55318.jpg, screenshots_72563.jpg, & especially screenshots_95054.jpg. wonder if that one heralds the end of the toudas (setting sun on a declining powerhouse??)
You are welcome, Mei
Well, never underestimate your imagination: once you start brainstorming, you never know what you’ll come up with
Those screenshots are some of my favorites as well
Your observation is very perceptive. The mountain resembles a head of a dragon and is especially poignant at the sunset.
wow so many beautiful screenshots here. I love this show to bits and imo it is the best show of 2009 and it isn’t even finished yet!
Thank you
I also love this show and will mention it in my 2009 awards
