The second episode was very fun 🙂 I especially liked Harumi’s performance 🙂 Overall, I enjoy the art, but the colors seem to be too saturated on some shots.

Ah, thanks for blogging this. I’ve only started to get into the Sayonara Zetsubo Sensei series. And that looks like Suiseiseki from Rozen Maiden in the first screencap. :3
Yes, it is that character. The significance of that picture is that it depicts Taro Aso, who is also known as Rozen Aso because he likes to read Rozen Maiden manga (he used to read 10-20 manga magazines per week) 😛 His approval ratings fell to around 11% due to his disastrous policies and behavior. Also his family used British POWs as slaves. He used to be a good shooter, but he is a terrible politician.
Besides excellent art, Zetsubou Sensei incorporates numerous references of the current world events.
Wow! This looks amazing – I think I can see references (from the screenshots) to Rozen Aso, Michael Jackson, mahou shoujo in general, and possibly Kagami from Lucky Star (looking at the BL manga)! I haven’t watched the first season, but I’m itching to now… or do you think it would be a problem if I skipped straight to season 3? 😛
