15. Bōnen no Xamdou (2008)
The little anime that couldn’t, but, despite unsatisfactory finale, it featured some of the best episodes in the recent anime history, exploring what it means to be human. Many aspects were excellent: directing, script, cast (Sanpei > Paku in this one), background art, and, of course, Michiru Oshima’s music (top three on my list from 2008). Nakiami is one of my favorite female characters ever! 🙂
14. Hidamari Sketch x 365 (2008)
Daily life of art students + SHAFT = win!
13. Sennen Joyu (2001)
Satoshi Kon blurs the line between dream and reality again in this journey through the ages.
12. Oseam (2003)
The last part of the Kenshin OVA also known as Samurai X: Reflection. Many people, including the original manga creator, disagree with anime ending, but I prefer this version. Also character design is much better in the OVA version compared to the TV series. Excellent music by Taku Iwasaki 🙂
