5. Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (2006)
4. Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi (2001)
One of the best Miyazaki films with commentary on modern society, good pacing and ending.
My favorite aspects of this show are directing, art, and music. SHAFT is SHAFT, but a couple of people in the team can make a big difference. The first two seasons had excellent art directors and supervisors, but you can readily see the decline in quality in the subsequent seasons – I couldn’t watch Zan. My impressions of Zoku. Retro songs.
2. Mushishi (2005)
Majestic scenery of this mysterious world is a pleasure to watch, and I love character design, especially Tanyuu 🙂
1. Kemono no Sou-ja Erin (2009)
This is my favorite anime ever! 😀 I have not finished covering it yet and have not written a full review, so I’ll refer you to Katt’s article. Excellent directing, editing, background art, music, and characters are some of the things that come to mind. Also I ❤ purring Oujuu :3 Erin is one of my favorite female characters ever! 🙂
However, be careful, for this anime employs a sinusoid attack! 😛 One phase lasts several episodes usually, but, if you are an empathic person, the crests will make you cry of joy or sadness, as Erin continues her journey through life 🙂
